As many of you know, President George Bush recently traveled or many countries in Latin America. It was a time a little dangerous for Americans in Ecuador because a lot of people here are very strong resettlement against the U.S. people showed their resettlement public demonstrations with protests and sometimes physical fights.

Like many other Latin American countries, Correa is trying to change the government in a more socialized systemsta. Almost 90% of the Ecuadorian people support the ideas of Correa but some are afraid that the power shift from dictatorship to Correa.
The people of Ecuador has a strong tradition of participation in government. If they do not like the government or the president, people often ask, and have a change. They write their thoughts and views of the city walls in graffiti. It's a shame you can not see the protests in the city for myself because of the danger because as stated a saying here, EcuTrying to change the Government Into a more Socialist system.
